Front Doors - Mississauga
Did you know that every 8-10 minutes there is a home invasion in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)? It’s important to have a secure door that can keep you safe and prevent potential intruders from entering your home. Our doors are made to be secure so that you don’t have to worry, when we install a door for you, you are not only getting a new door but the peace of mind that you, your family and your possessions are kept safe.
In the past older doors were commonly made of wood and wood veneer, this can lead to a lot of different issues such as warping, cracking and delaminating. Even metal doors can have issues with peeling; our new doors are designed to last for years. If you are unsure about which door would be right for your family we can send a consultant to your home to give you more information about the different doors we provide and their benefits.
Steel Entry Doors
Steel entry doors are also a great choice for any homeowner looking for a new door but do have a few disadvantages compared to fiberglass and wood doors that you should keep in mind.
Steel entry doors can be easily dented or scratched, which could eventually lead to rust. Unlike wooden and fiberglass doors we cannot stain steel doors, although they can be painted and dyed to match your home.
Steel entry doors will also conduct temperature and can be cold/hot to the touch. This is important to keep in mind for the cold and warm days we often face in the Greater Toronto Area.
Fiberglass Entry Doors
Our beautiful fiberglass doors are designed to be the most energy efficient as possible. The best part about choosing a fiberglass entry door over our other types of entry doors is the range of advantages that it comes with. Fiberglass doors are incredibly efficient, require very little maintenance.
Fiberglass entry doors provide the beautiful smooth finish look and wood-grain of a wooden door without the warping/rotting that wood doors can have. Our fiberglass doors can be stained or painted to the colour of your choice and provide the same warm feel as a real wooden door.
Compared to steel doors fiberglass entry doors also have the advantage of not denting or rusting.
If you are getting a new front door, or already have a front door but no storm door we highly recommend you install one. Storm doors are important for protecting your front door, often entry doors will have special paint, stains or windows that would last longer with some protection. A good storm door can save you on maintenance fees in the future.
Having a storm door will also help with keeping your home energy efficient, a storm door acts as an extra layer for those hot summer days and cold winters that we experience in Canada. Storm doors are also great to have during those days when you want to let some breeze in but keep bugs out. Many storm doors come with screen inserts that will allow the air through but keep bug out.
